Terms of Service

Last updated: 4th July 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using MealMaker at mealmaker.com.au (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Leon Frederick Tranter, a sole trader based in New South Wales, Australia.

2. Who can use MealMaker

You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's consent, to create an account. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including dietary preferences and restrictions entered for yourself or members of your household.

3. Your account

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately at support@mealmaker.com.au if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.

4. The Service

MealMaker generates meal plans, allows you to swap meals, confirms plans, and creates shopping lists based on the preferences and restrictions you provide. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

5. Not medical or nutritional advice — important

MealMaker is a planning tool, not a source of medical, dietary, or nutritional advice. Meal suggestions, dietary tags (such as "gluten-free," "vegetarian," or "dairy-free"), and any nutritional information provided are generated based on the data in our system and the preferences you enter — they are not verified by a medical professional, dietitian, or nutritionist, and may contain errors.

You are solely responsible for verifying that any meal, ingredient, or recipe is safe for you or anyone you are cooking for, particularly where allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions are involved. Always check ingredient labels and consult a qualified health professional regarding your specific dietary or medical needs. We are not liable for any illness, allergic reaction, or harm arising from reliance on information provided through the Service.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts; interfere with or disrupt the Service; or misuse any content or data obtained through the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, and content we create (excluding information you provide), belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without our permission. You retain ownership of any information or content you submit, and grant us a licence to use it to operate and provide the Service to you.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to us or other users.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss arising from reliance on meal, nutrition, or dietary information (see Section 5). Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited, at our option, to re-supplying the Service or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months (if any).

11. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
